 ower on Williams Field Rd).Â  The Robot games and Pits will be in the Co

 dge deliberations.The Robot Game is free and open to the public\, starti
 ng at 9:30 AM. The judging portion of the event is closed to the public.
  Coaches and/or parents should supervise all teams throughout the event.
  Please encourage your team and families to respect the ASU campus and i
 ts rules\, as well as the tournament rules.\n\n\n\nLocations:\n\n\n\n\nT
 eam check-in will be in front of theÂ Cooley Ballroom (Student Union Bui
 lding) starting at 8:30 am on Saturday.Â Â \n\n\n\nTeam pits will be in 
 the Cooley Ballroom.\n\n\n\nRobot Matches will also be in the Cooley Bal
 lroom.\n\n\n\nJudging will be across the quad in assigned classrooms.\n\
 n\n\nThe easiest parking is probably in Lot 10.\n\n\n\nThere are bathroo
 ms available in the Student Union.\n\n\n\nWe hope to hold closing ceremo
 nies at 2:30 pm and be done by 3:30 pm\, but the exact timing depends on
  the length of the judge deliberations.Â  Â \n\n\n\nFamilies and Friends
  are welcome to attend the tournament!Â  We suggest letting them know wh
 en your team's robot rounds are\, as these are the most interesting part
 s to watch.\n\n\n\nWe will have a livestream of the event for those who 
 cannot attend in person but would like to watch robot rounds/awards cere

 \n\n\n\n\nTeams need to turn in a printout from the FIRST system of thei
 r completed Team Roster\, showing that all members and coaches have comp
 leted their FIRST waivers.\n\n\n\nOnly 1coach needs to check the team in
 .Â  The rest of the team can getÂ set up in theirÂ pit.\n\n\n\nVisitors 
 and familiesÂ do not need to check in.\n\n\n\n\nCompetition:&nbsp\;\n\n\
 n\n\nEach team will have 1 practice round and 3 competition rounds in th
 e official robot game. Only the highest score in the competition rounds 
 will count towards team rankings.\n\n\n\nEach team will have one 30-minu
 te judging session during which they will present their project and robo
 t design.Â  Teams may not have any help from coaches or adults during th
 e judging session.\n\n\n\nThe match and judging schedule\, with team-spe
 cific times\, will be released the day before the tournament.\n\n\n\nDur
 ing judging\, there is no time to present a core values poster. However\
 , your team(s) are welcome to bring one if they choose to.Â Â \n\n\n\nEa
 ch team will have one table for their home base/pit during the event.Â \
 n\n\n\nThere will be 15 teams competing at this event.Â \n\n\n\nWe will 
 have 3 practice tables available for teams to share.\n\n\n\n\nAwards:&nb
 sp\;&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\nTo be eligible to win awards/advance to state\, you
 r whole team needs to participate in all 4 areas of the competition: rob
 ot game\, robot design\, core values\, and innovation project.\n\n\n\nWi
 nning an award does not automatically qualify you for the State.\n\n\n\n
 Advancing teams will be determined by the top overall rankings in all 4 
 areas combined (robot game and judged categories)\n\n\n\nThe AZ State co
 mpetition will take place on Saturday\, January 17th\, at ASU West in Gl
 endale.Â  4Â teams from our competition will qualify for State.Â \n\n\n\
 n\nFood:\n\n\n\n\nTeams will have an hour lunch break around Noon.Â \n\n
 \n\nThere are seating areas to eat in the Student Union\, right next doo
 r to the Cooley Ballroom.Â \n\n\n\nCampus restaurants will be closed\, b
 ut there are multiple restaurants within a mile or two of campus.Â  Powe
 r Road\, north of campus\, has various options.\n\n\n\nSnacks and drinks
  will be available for purchase.Â  Team members may want to bring aÂ few
  dollars to spend during the day.Â \n\n\n\nSnacks are allowed in Pits\, 
 but please keep the areas free of trash and clean up your pit before the
  end of the day.\n\n\n\n\nFLL Challenge teams can range in size from 2 t
 o 10 members\, all between the ages of 9 and 14.Â  Teams will need to su
 bmit a team roster printed out from their dashboard inÂ firstinspires.or
 gÂ when they check in on Saturday morning.Â  All team members and coache
 s need to have their consent forms completed online and marked as comple
 te on the roster.Â  Start now to ensure all your members are in the FIRS
